The Student Athlete ConneXion and The Recruiting ConneXion were started by Stu Ullrich to connect student athletes with colleges in need of their athletic and academic talents. After experiencing the recruiting process first hand with his daughter, Stu learned 2 important facts. You cannot wait for your child to be discovered by colleges, you must be proactive in marketing both their athletic and academic abilities. There are colleges looking for talented student athletes, but they probably have not heard of your child. Secondly, most colleges have small budgets to locate and recruit potential student athletes for their scholarships. You must market, market, and market your athlete to get exposure. The Recruiting ConneXion and Student Athlete ConneXion provides this opportunity for exposure by connecting student athletes with college coaches nationwide and provides them with the tools to communicate with these coaches.

Stu Ullrich grew up playing sports. At Midpark High School in Ohio, he played baseball and basketball but he really excelled at football. Stu was recruited to play football at Hiram College. As a starter, Stu played quarterback freshman year and free safety his sophomore year and on. He also played on the Varsity Golf team.

Stu has coached youth sports for the last 20 years. He has coached travel softball for the last 7 years and coached 3 years of high school fastpitch softball at Apalachee High School in Georgia.

Stu received his Bachelor's degree from Hiram College and Master's degree from Ohio State University. He has worked as a financial Consultant since 1989 helping clients reach their financial goals including ways to pay for college.

Stu has been involved with community groups such as the Kiwanis Club and helped the Lawrenceville Kiwanis club set up a Santa program that now provides over 300 kids with presents at Christmas.

Stu and his lovely wife, Bekah have two children, Bethany (who just received an athletic
and academic scholarship to Furman University) and Lindsay who plays volleyball and is involved in music.

Combining Stu's high School and collegiate sports experience as both a player and a coach along with his business experience as a financial consultant has given him excellent skills to connect talented student athletes with the coaches who need their academic and athletic skills.
